Isaiah Briggs is an independent music operations and catalog manager who has administered a release catalog since 2018 and handled rights registration for it since 2023.

He believes a record isn’t reliable until it’s been checked against another source, and he has built his working life around that being literally true rather than a figure of speech. He directs AI-assisted software builds on the same principle, designing systems whose job is to catch the mistakes their most capable component would otherwise make confidently. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Music Business with a minor in Music Production and Recording from Berklee College of Music.

What I’m looking for

A full-time, salaried, remote role in operations — royalty and metadata coordination, catalog management, rights administration, or business operations more broadly. Somewhere the work rewards being careful.

I should say plainly what my history is, because you’ll see it on the résumé anyway: one part-time W-2 role, eight years of self-employment, and a venture that hasn’t opened its doors. No corporate office history. What I have instead is eight years of nobody catching my errors for me, which turned out to be a reasonable way to learn not to make them.

On the code

I don't write code by hand, and I don't make the specific engineering calls either — Claude Code does. My work is the architecture: I scope the system, set the goals and constraints that shape the technical trade-offs, sequence the build so nothing gets built on a missing foundation, and define what 'done' actually means before anything ships.
